Standing for election

So I am running for UKYP (UK YOUTH PARLIAMENT) and as I am not an insider and people who were elected before are running again. Unfortunately that makes me an outsider, a longshot :-( but however I do believe I can still win. The election will start on the 26th and you can vote by going onto www.bgfl.org/vote2009 you have 5 votes for about 21 candidates you do not have to use all the votes but it is up to. So my plea is everyone who can, vote for Me(Momodou) because I want to change things for the youth in Birmingham. But I will do a video diary for more info.
Additional Information: If you vote and you dont no who to use your other votes on I would recommend Lexia because she is very smart and will be great in shaping Birminghams youth lives!!

Gordon Brown

This just shows how british politics is so childish… A little mistake and he is ridiculed  come on he is human. These are the people who are running our country not serious absolutely not serious. hehe

George Bush

The current U.S President in his last days,
Went to Iraq and got a shoe thrown at him, only if he reacted this quickly when 9/11 happened hehe.

Politics

Why politics? What would a teenager in year ten like about politics?
I frequently ask those questions to myself, sadly its the truth I love politics. Reading my other blog posts you would think its because of Barack Obama but its not. I have always had an interest in politics it could be its in my blood, my great grandfather was the President of The Gambia. Sir Dawda Jawara. So some could say politics is apart of me but I am not complaining I genuinely have an interest in politics and with the election in America boosted my interest. People would think i only like him because he is black but I love his speeches, his message and his policies he just inspires me so much. And he happens to be black, with America being the last country to abolish slavery and segregation you would think many people still alive who most likely supported slavery might of even voted for Obama just knowing that is an big accomplishment to The United States.

People still can question I do not even live in the United States but personally I feel U.K politics is not exciting but that can all change. Please do my polls. Feel free to express your views on my page Thank you for visiting.

GAMBIA & THE JOLLOF RICE

Many People think that “jollof rice” is from nigeria or ghana however infact it is from Senegambia. Before the french colonised Senegal and britain colonised Gambia it was one country. Well getting back to Jollof many people even on the internet read about this food and it states it is from Nigeria, Ghana and even Sierra leone. However infact it came from Senegambia and there once was a tribe called the jollof from senegambia and that was there main dish , jollof rice. So dont believe what you read because this is clearly fact!
